Bloomsburg Falls to Lock Haven in Women's Basketball

LOCK HAVEN - Bloomsburg University's Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Huskies lost to Lock Haven 74-46 on Sunday.
Early in the game, with the score tied 4-4, the Lady Eagles put together a 17-3 run, highlighted by eight points from Ilia Lopez to go in front 21-7 with 13:46 left in the half.
Bloomsburg, 3-12, was able to briefly bring the deficit to nine points, 30-21, after a 6-0 run by the Huskies, including four points from Jamie Kauczka (Kingston/Wyoming Valley West). However, Lock Haven went into halftime with a 37-23 and did not see its lead dip below 13 points in the second half.
Kauczka led the Huskies with 13 points, while Kegerreis scored her 13 points on five of six shooting from the floor and one of one from the foul line.
Lopez led Lock Haven, 11-3, with 19 points, while Kristy Shadduck added 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Bloomsburg will be back in action on Wednesday at the Nelson Field House against Kutztown at 5:30 p.m.
